The development of Telengan Gegelang Tourism Village began in 2014 through the efforts of the Pokdarwis Membah Amertha management, who submitted a proposal to obtain formal legal approval and requested assistance from the government to provide comprehensive guidance in accordance with the Tourism Concept. The Karangasem Government conducted visits and several meetings with the Telengan community and prominent figures, resulting in an increasingly intense and improved collaboration. This culminated in a high level of trust, leading to the village being entrusted with the responsibility of promoting Telengan Gegelang Tourism Village by participating in the Pokdarwis Competition at the provincial level in Bali.
