 The government, through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries, is preparing and immediately distributing tourism grant funds as part of the National Economic Recovery (PEN) to help increase the implementation of health protocols in tourist destinations.



Purpose of Tourism Grant Funds

The budget for tourism grant funds is IDR 3.3 trillion, involving 101 districts/cities in Indonesia. The main objective of this tourism grant is to help local governments and the hotel and restaurant industry which are currently experiencing financial disruption and recovery from the decline in local original income (PAD) due to the COVID-19 pandemic with an implementation period of until December 2020.

Recipient Targets and Criteria

The grant funds given to local governments are divided into 70 percent allocated for direct assistance to the hotel and restaurant industry. Meanwhile, 30 percent for local governments is used to handle the economic and social impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in the tourism and creative economy sectors.

The recipients of tourism grant funds for regional governments are:

Regions with PHPR criteria of at least 15 percent of the total PAD for the 2019 fiscal year

Enter 10 Super Priority Destinations (DPP)

Enter 5 Priority Tourism Destinations (DSP)

Regional Destination Branding and 100 COE

Registered in the regional tax database

Still operating today

Have a business permit / Tourism Business Registration Certificate (TDUP)
