About Padangbai

Padangbai is a village in the Manggis District, Karangasem Regency, on the eastern side of Bali Island, Indonesia. The town serves as a ferry port for trips to Lombok Island, Nusa Penida, the Gili Islands, and other islands in West Nusa Tenggara. During the Kusamba War in 1849, it was better known as Labuhan Amuk Bay.

In addition to being a port town, Padangbai also offers tourists a beautiful and peaceful small coastal town life in the form of a bay where there is a cape called Tanjung Sari to the east, named after a sacred place of worship called Pura Tanjung Sari dedicated to Empu Bharadah.

Apart from the main white sandy beach, there are also two other white sandy beaches here, namely Padang Kurungan Beach to the east and Bias Tugel Beach to the west. Padang Kurungan Beach is a beautiful beach known for its colorful ornamental fish and soft coral dominating its beautiful underwater scenery, as well as the presence of a beautiful blue lagoon in the middle of the beach, which is why it is often referred to as the Blue Lagoon Beach. On the other hand, Bias Tugel Beach (White Sand Beach), located to the west of Padangbai's main beach, is famous for its vast expanse of white sand and its clear blue sea.
