Jakarta, March 4, 2024 - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf) is urging hoteliers to prepare discounted accommodation packages and iftar packages during the Ramadan month in order to overcome the low season and prepare for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday.
Adyatama Tourism and Creative Economy Main Expert of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Nia Niscaya in "The Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno" in Jakarta, Monday (4/3/2024)
Nia Niscaya, the Senior Expert of Tourism and Creative Economy at Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf, stated in "The Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno" in Jakarta on Monday (4/3/2024) that the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) has predicted a decrease in the arrival of foreign tourists and domestic tourists during Ramadan from March 10 to April 9, 2024. This has an impact on the occupancy rate of star-rated hotel rooms, especially in major cities like Jakarta.
"However, PHRI Chairman, Mr. Haryadi Sukamdani, predicts that hotel occupancy during the 2024 Eid al-Fitr holiday will be high. This prediction is based on the overall improvement of the hotel industry in Indonesia in 2024," said Nia.
