Bali, March 7 2024 - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Menparekraf/Kabaparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin wants the boats created by the artist Tuxedo Studio to be available in various Indonesian tourist destinations.
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno visited Tuxedo Studio in Bali, Thursday (7/3/2024).
"I see that this can be made for tourist destinations such as boats in Bedugul, lakes in Bali, and also lakes in Indonesia such as Lake Toba. So besides us having a phinisi we also have a unique boat. "This can also open up business opportunities," said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga during his visit to Tuxedo Studio Bali, Thursday (7/23/2024).
Tuxedo Studio Bali is a specialist in manufacturing handmade classic cars and operates in the field of kit car manufacturing, modification, re-creation and vehicle restoration.
During his visit, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga saw directly various car collections and saw the contents of the workshop with various car components ranging from frames to pictures of antique and modified cars. He also saw miniature classic boats that will be produced this year.
The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy appreciated the creation and innovation presented by Tuxedo Studio Bali in the field of creative economy. He also expressed his interest in buying a national classic car which will be produced and designed by Tuxedo Studio himself.
"The model we want will be made in Indonesia, a car called First Lady, because this is a unique combination of industry and creativity. It employs a lot of artists, so it's not mechanics but artists. "So if you previously dreamed of having a mass national car, now you have a classic national car which will soon become a reality," said the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.
The founder of Tuxedo Studio, Pudji Handoko, said that in the near future he and his team will produce classic cars with designs and concepts inspired by classic cars from the 1930s.
“Next we will make our own car, not a Mercedes, Mercy, but our own design, which we will start this year. "So, we will keep the classic model, we will make it under the Taksido brand and name it First Lady," said Pudji.
