Komotra is a mini bus station that provides transportation services for tourists or shuttles from Kuta Parking Center to Kuta, Legian, and Seminyak. It is strategically located and spacious, making it convenient for travelers to utilize the bus for tours around Bali. The parking area offers adequate facilities for tourists who are in transit and looking for minibuses to the Kuta area. However, it is important to note that buses with a length of 7 meters or more are not allowed to enter the area to avoid contributing to the already significant traffic congestion, especially during the holiday season. If these buses were allowed to enter Kuta, traffic congestion would undoubtedly occur.
The Komotra mini bus can accommodate up to 20 passengers and is similar to the Isuzu Elf. The buses are brightly colored with pictures of Kuta Beach, traditional puppet stories, Balinese culture, and other tourist attractions in Bali. The semi-open design of the bus allows passengers to enjoy the surrounding scenery throughout the journey. The main destination for passengers at the Kuta Parking Center is Kuta Beach, where they can freely enjoy the white sandy beach, swim, and witness the beautiful sunset. The Komotra buses are always on standby at the parking center and return to the beach to pick up passengers after sunset or as night falls.
Not only for beach trips, but guests staying in the Legian, Kuta, and Seminyak areas with large groups who wish to go on tours around Bali are also required to pass through the parking center before continuing their journey. However, it is sometimes observed that bus drivers can pass through the streets of these areas, whether it is due to requests and agreements between travel agents and bus operators or for other reasons. Nevertheless, it is crucial to adhere to the existing rules and regulations, and everyone should be aware of this for the common good.
