Jason, a British YouTuber, was amazed by the grandeur of Jakarta

In one of his Youtube videos, Jason, a young British YouTuber, thoroughly reviewed the city of Jakarta according to his travel route that day.

According to Jason, "I am very excited to be here and can't wait to explore this big city!"

Jason suggests that if you are considering a trip to Indonesia, make sure to visit the beautiful city of Jakarta! This bustling and lively city is full of culture, architecture, and luxurious shopping. In this video, I share my first impressions of Jakarta and my first time in Indonesia, including my thoughts on the city, its large modern shopping centers, and the contrast of poverty in some areas.

That day, Jason embarked on his journey from the ASEAN Jakarta MRT station, which comfortably transports pedestrians throughout this bustling city. His plan was to visit the National Monument (MONAS), but he was confused about which station to go to. However, he had already thought about it far in advance.

"The subway is quite cheap to buy tickets for, and the interior is very modern and futuristic. I didn't see any trash anywhere! No homeless people either. Quite pleasant and comfortable," he said.

While riding the MRT, Jason found out that the National Monument was actually closed on Mondays, but the journey had to continue!

After a little confusion on the MRT, he decided to get off. And he stepped out onto the streets of Jakarta and walked along the way to Monas.

"On my way, I stopped by a very luxurious shopping center to cool off from the heat of the streets and take advantage of the AC inside the mall. It had so many high-end designer brands. I got a little lost inside, but eventually managed to find my way out and back onto the streets of Jakarta," he explained.

Although the monument was closed on Mondays, he returned the next day to enter it and make his way to the top. It took quite a while to reach the top. Was the view worth waiting for so long?

Jason expressed his decision to let the other person be the judge.  After that, he decided to head to Istiqlal Mosque, unfortunately, it was closed on Mondays.

"Maybe I'll go there another time," he added.

The sky quickly began to darken that day, so Jason decided to book a Grab bike to return to the hotel. Fairmont Hotel.

"It was truly enjoyable to take a short tour around the city by bike and immerse myself in Jakarta's traffic," he said.

Afterwards, Jason took a brief tour to the hotel where he stayed at Fairmont Hotel, a luxurious yet slightly expensive hotel. Its location is indeed excellent, even though it is right next to the golden field. The hotel room where Jason stayed might be one of the best rooms. It is very spacious and has two toilets! Jason then ordered some delicious Indonesian pizzas and donuts, which were truly enjoyable!

Afterwards, he descended to the swimming pool to relax for a while, despite the distant thunderstorm. "The pool area is very luxurious, and it also has a beautiful jacuzzi," Jason said, concluding his video broadcast for the day.
